ABOUT

My name is Alexis Varney, I have been doing digital art for 6 years. When it came to drawing in general I've been drawing since I was 4. I loved to make things with originality and how the world is. My main things I used to draw was eyes, flowers (mainly roses), and foxes. When I was 11-15 I was going through a lot and didn't know how to distract my mind from the things around me. One day I was on youtube and saw people speed-painting on digital artwork but on actual paper, and it got me thinking if I could do that. I first started off with editing body parts into positions using MSP (moviestarplanet), then I found Gacha Life and Gacha Club, they are little characters you make for movies, edits, stories, and more. I now turn Gacha oc's into anime body shapes and add their features with texture. Over time my art was looking dull and not grabbing my attention so I look for inspiration on youtube, I learned how lighting works, shading, texture, and bringing the eyes to life in a picture (they used to look pretty dead). When I first found Gacha I used Ibis PaintX, then bought myself an Ipad and started working with Procreate and learned there was so much more then just drawing with procreate I can do the speed-paints of it recording how I do my art and even animation! I started on Instagram which is Moonlightkiss05 (I came up with the name because I love the moonlight at night then put a word with it and the year I was born. Then I made a youtube channel to post my speed-paint complications, lastly I made a tiktok account to add music to the videos and effects showing the speed-paint. In my journey with art I've learned art isn't just on paper or canvases, their in books, build-boards, logos and more. I'm starting a new journey for Graphic Design to learn more to help my art grow.
